I'm working on a custom module in C# witch gets CoreProfile information from the user.
My problem is that I need to get the Localized PropertyName for a given PropertyValue.

So far:
 PropertyValue for Users first name [ userInfo.Profile.GetPropertyValue("FirstName") ]
 to get the PropertyName [ userInfo.Profile.GetPropertyValue("FirstName").PropertyName ] - and this is what I need to localize but I don't know how!

Figured it out:

/the path to the resource file
String path = "~/Controls/App_LocalResources/user.ascx." + pmb.PortalSettings.CultureCode.ToString() + ".resx";
/Localized text assignment

control = GetLiteral(HttpContext.Current.Server.HtmlDecode(Localization.GetString("pl" + parameterName, VirtualPathUtility.ToAbsolute(path)));

Perhaps not the best solution but it works!

you should not try to bypass DNN localization (use getstring with appropriate local resourcepath), otherwise fallback and portal specific modifications will not get applied.
