DNN 6.2 ?

That will be a very long time ahead of us, _IF_ we decide to upgrade to 6.2. Because 6x will be a HUGE change and will need time to mature.

So to discontinue the current forums was a mistake, imho. Some things could be fixed. A lot of wasted time for you also, like the Gallery 4 project. A lot of time, a lot.

Thanks for the update, Sebastian, I obviously missed that particular blog post. It was 6.0 for AF and 6.1 for AS the last time I heard. It means I will have to change some plans ...

Active Social integration is currently scheduled for 6.1. Right now that means it should be complete Q4 2011. The new forum module will be released between 6.0 and 6.1. Obviously we want to have this complete sooner rather than later, but we also want to make sure we provide the best forum module possible along with a stable upgrade path.

As Chris mentioned, we will be working together to make sure we bring together the best of both modules.

Thanks,
Will

"The dnn forum is great and smokes the Active forum."

So why is it that people like myself have willingly paid for a forum for many years? No offense but in general core 'modules' have not been maintained very well or improved.

Why not make a version of Active Forums (other than lite) available for free now.  This way new installations between now and then could be on the Active codebase making migrations to the new forums module easier.
