We have written a Module that integrates DotNetNuke into the relatively new Outlook Social Connector system.

If you have seen the new Outlook Social Connector, you will know that it feeds data like Windows Live, Facebook and Linked in data to your outlook to allow you to see related social data for contacts and email messages from users.

We thought it would be cool to make data from your DotNetNuke website feed into outlook. (We live in outlook).

So far, we are feeding in contact details so that your DNN website users are auto matched to the OSC.

We have also added:

  • Portal signup details.  - Date and time - to allow you to see when a user first created an account on your site.
  • User login details - Date and time - to allow you to see whenever a user has logged into your site.
  • Security Roles - The roles a users is in - To allow you to see what security that use has on your site
  • Forum discussions - Showing a short snip, and date and time, of any forum post the user has been active in.
  • Document module download - We modified the DNN document module, to allow it to track the users download history
  • Automatic invitation - To allow a single click to invite a user to signup on your website. The email message is generated from outlook, via the DNN module on your website.

My question is this...  What other integration features can people suggest that would be nice to add into an Outlook Social Connector?
