Hi Steve

I tried deleting some files from the Repository.. but when I checked the file from the server it is still there.

By deleting file from the module, does that retain the actual file itself in the server?

thanks
Ariel

Yes, that is by design (although I keep bouncing back and forth on whether the implementation is correct).  If you delete the repository item, the physical file is not deleted from the file system.

Hi Steve
thanks for your reply.
I dont think that is really a big issue since others may like the physical file to still be available anytime they want to activate it.. So this is just a way to deactivate the file from the site.

Have a great day!
Ariel

Is there any way to automate the deletion from the file system when deleted from the repository/ I have a site where the users upload large files and expect them to be deleted when they delete them from the repository. Has an impact on hosting costsCheers
