I have installed DNN in my computer thru Microsoft Webmatrix. I developed the site in DNN. Whenver I run the webmatrix, it gives url for my site home page as http://localhost:62586/home.aspx. Now I want to share my site with other users in my company thru LAN. Could you please tell me how to access the site in other computers thru LAN?

I tried with IP address/computer name in place of localhost in url. But it is not working.

To make a site visible to other users the best approach is to do so by assigning a domain name to the computer hosting the server - OTHER THAN - localhost.  Depending on how your local LAN is setup this can be achieved by adding a entry in your local dns server or alternatively adding a record in the HOSTS file of each computer you would like to access your server.

Having said this however, I would first look at if you are able to access the website - WITHOUT accessing it thru webmatrix.  Its been a while but im thinking that when you are running it from inside webmatrix you are not accessing and IIS server but instead the cut down server running from inside webmatrix.

I can access the site whenever it is started thru Webmatrix. As I am not IT guy, I couldnt understand what to next. Is it possible to run the DNN which is installed thru Webmatrix. If so, What is the procedure to run? Whenver I run Webmatrix, automatically IIS Express will come into service. Then What would be my localhost url? Please help

You're not using port 80 on your website. So if you just type http://IPADDRESS/home.aspx you should not be able to get to your site because it is not listening on the default port.

Try defining the port number 62586 when you are trying to access the site
