Hello,

I am getting this error when I try to go to the register.aspx page. Also the Register link option is not displaying in the skin.

You cannot register at this time for this site. Please contact your the site Administrator to find out when Registration will be reopened.

DNN 5.6.2

I have verified that the site settings registration is set to Public. I have changed to none, and private and then back to public. I have verified the value of 2 in the database table Portals....What else would cause this behaviour? Note that in site settings, the Registration page is set to None Specified.

I am supposed to launch this site TODAY. but can't if I can't get this fixed.

Thanks so much in advance,
Chad

Well, I configured a new portal in the same install...and somehow after that, registration started working in the original portal again....so issue is closed.

very strange, I would be happier, if the cause of the problem was identified.
