Hi

I have installed a dnn 5 portal and enabled active directory authentication extention for it in an active directory enviroment (also I set the dns so the site will be called like www.mysite.com)

the problem is when the site loads, it asks for User/pass in a new windows, if the credentials inserted correctly the site will load and the user will automatically logged in

but it is not correct to ask for it when they already logged into the windows, anyone knows a solution?

What browser are you using? Is the site in your trusted or intranet sites list on your computer?

thank you for your reply

I've tried it on both IE  & FF and site is local intranet site

when I enable anonymous access on windowssignin file the windows login will not appear but of course the active directory user should manually hit the login button and sig in

When you say the site is local intranet site are you saying that you go to Tools->Internet Options on your computer and select the Security and look under the local intranet sites list the site is listed in there? Try adding it to the Trusted sites list instead then.

Firefox needs an add-in installed. Do a search for Windows Authentication in the Firefox Add-ins.
