That is a difficult issue to track down. I'm only aware of it because I had it happen to me when writing an Image upload and editing control. It makes sense, however, because there must be a full postback (not an AJAX asynchronous postback) for the file content to be uploaded.

If you do need to use an AJAX UpdatePanel or turn on "Supports Partial Rendering" in the module definition, you can add the following statement (in module control's page load handler) to force the upload button to perform a full postback:

DotNetNuke.Framework.AJAX.RegisterPostBackControl(btnUpload);

Bill,

Thanks for the tip.  I actually may have a need for that in my final design as I may ultimately use an Update Panel anyway.  I will file it for future reference.

Thanks

Bill,

Referring to the same code in my initial post in this thread, can you tell me why, after I've uploaded the selected files, and the FileUploadBoxes qty gets set back to 1, when I simply do a page refresh, the files that were just previously uploaded get uploaded again?

I guess I'm asking how do I reset the HttpFileCollection back to zero after the currently selected files are uploaded?

Thanks.
