Hello
I have domain(Active directory) for College , and we are planning to create portal special for Teachers and Employee
we have two security Groups , Students and Employee
I am using the latest DNN version
1-  how can I allow only employee to login and deny access of student before once they enter thier username and password instead of creating page and authenticate  Employees group only to that page.

2 - How Can I list all Employee user account from active directory in the DNN site before they do login or even if they didn't logged in?

Thanks in advanced..

1) if you grant view permission for the page to authenticated users only, anyone else will not get the page displayed. 2) you will need some custom module for this purpose.

You don't want students to be able to log in period? I'll have to look at that one. The Do Not Automatically Create Users in the settings would work on automatic login for sure but then you'd have to manually create all your instructor accounts. Not a small job if you want all the instructors at your college in there but it could be scripted.

I have 40000 Student and 5000 Teacher and Employee , it's impossible to recreate account for each , and the student will make traffic on our network by logging in and then I have to redirect them to page that will tell them "SORRY , YOU ARE STUDENT"
why I don't tell them that unauthorized username and password before doing login ?
or in other word , I will unauthorized Students Security Group !
another thing is to list all Teachers account in DNN , but the problem that they must logged in at least once , is it possible to do that even if they are not logged in ?

It's not impossible create the instructor accounts (it could be done a variety of ways (PowerShell, VBScripting, Windows programming) but it is beyond the scope of the AD Provider. The AD provider is just simply a provider the takes the user's credentials, verifies it against the Active Directory, and logs the user into the website if the information is valid.

At the current time there's no way for it to allow certain users to log in and other to not log in unless it's setup as I mentioned in my previous post.

As for your question about listing all the teachers even if they've never logged in before.... Sebastian already answered your question. It would take a custom module that could access the Active Directory and pull information from there.
