I have an instance of DNN (5.6.2) - I have a contact form setup and a store module on differenct pages, I have tried both anonymous SMTP settings and Basic STMP settings with no luck. Incase you are wondering I am the Host provider as well so I know the email settings are correct. However... I see a lot of these errors below in my event log:

Any idea why my emails are not being sent? I have no clue what this error means, but it is duplicated quite a bit - I wonder if it has somehting to do with all of this.

Thanks for any help.

Also when I do an SMTP test... I just get the blank email response... there is no content in the test email at all - is this right?

please check email address in user profile of the admin user for your site. SMTP test is empty by design.

Everything is setup as it should be. I myself and the ownder of the DNN Instance (Host Account) which has my email. The admin of the actual site is listed under their user accoutn which is correct.

Anything else that I can test to see why emails are not going through to this individual or myself. I created a test contact form and set us both to recieve the message... nothing comes through.

Given the fact that your SMTP Settings test (at the host (account) level) is properly working, those settings are correct.

The error message 'The specified string is not in the form required for an e-mail address.' suggests, as Sebastian pointed out, that one (or both) of your e-mail addresses is not correct / misspelled. Did you manually type them in? I just read a post where someone copy-pasted the e-mail addresses and thus inserting characters that caused the same error message.
