Hi,

I am using DNN 05.01.02 (51) Community Edition
I've added <dnn:SEARCH runat="server" id="dnnSEARCH" /> on /Portals/_default/Skins/skin/skin.ascx file

My website has Contact Us forms that is using the helferlein Form module. This was written by Michael Tobisch (www.helferlein.com)
It is based on ODS Form by Bjarte Djuvik Naess (www.nukenow.com).
The contact us form is saving to the database.

The site search is currently returning results from that area of the database and shouldn't be.
I need to know what I have to do in order disable searching of Contact Us data in database.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Doru

You would need to remove the ISearchable interface from the helferlein form module in order to get it to not search that data.

You could also try removing the BusinessControllerClass from the module definition for the helferlein module, but that could have unintended consequences.

Hi Chris, can you tell me where I can find the file that contain ISearchable interface? I didn't find the "ISearchable" word in my files.
I need to know how I can remove the ISearchable interface from the helferlein form module.

Thank you,
Doru Pirvu

Doru,

please understand the machanisms of the helferlein_Form module:

1) If you do not display the submissions, there is no need to approve the submissions - and unapproved submissions are not included in the search results. The most propable reason that submissions appear there is that you checked the "Auto approve" check box in the module settings.

2) If you do not need the submissions on the server, there is no need to store them in the database - just send them by email, and there is nothing to index...

If you want a "Disable Search" setting beyond these facts, please put that on the feature requests on CodePlex: http://helferleinform.codeplex.com

Best wishes
Michael

Hi Michael, I have search results appearing in my sites searches, I am presuming now from your comment above that the ones that are appearing have been approved at some stage. I have deleted all submissions from the database in the website form area, so how do I stop these other submissions appearing??? They are still showing up, I have 5 forms on the site, all have save to database un ticked. None have auto approve ticked, and all say that there are no submissions saved.
