Hello. I have been modifying the profile properties for a portal. When I register as a test user to simulate one of my site visitors, the profile changes I made are there. But when I log in as the Host, and look at my Profile...the new properties I created do not show up to be able to edit their values? These are important for a user of that portal to have these set. Do profile properties not apply to Super User Accts? If so, then is it advised not to use my Host account as the account that I use to interact with the users on the portal?

Thanks in advance,
Chad

Host users are using properties specified in Superusers module in Host module - they don't have a profile per portal in a multiportal installation.

Understand. So it is best not to use a Super User account for interacting with my site if I have custom modules that use Profile Data. Thanks for the clarification.

Chad, if you need a superuser account for managing your profile, you may create a portal user and set the "isSuperuser" flag for it in the database, e.g. by running the following statement from Host :: SQL (assuming the user is called "mySuperuser"): UPDATE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Users SET IsSuperuser = 1 WHERE UserName Like N'mySuperuser'

Hi Chad, I personally would not use a Host (or Admin) account for interacting with your users, I only use those for housekeeping my sites. I prefer to create a user account for myself with just the permissions needed (eg forum moderation). Just my own preferences.
