Situation:

I would like to create a staging site where I can provide my customers a link and password

For instance

www.roughedgedevsite.com/dotnetnuke/

From there, the client would login, which would then take them to their respective portal site.

I don't want them to be able to get to the site just by typing in the site URL

For example

www.roughedgedevsite.com/dotnetnuke/l...

Should they type in the address above I would like them to be redirected to:  www.roughedgedevsite.com/dotnetnuke/

I am not sure of how to do this.  If someone might be able to help I'd really appreciate it.

unless you protect your site with a password and grant access to the page for registered users only, you can only differenciate by reading the referrer. There is no built.-in mechanism for it, maybe UrlMaster by www.ifinity.com.au has an option for it.
