I am trying to adapt a "world press" template for my DNN skin. I  used <dnn:LINKS runat="server" id="dnnLINKS"  Level="Root" Separator="</li><li>"  EnableTheming=false/> to generate main menu, here is the result <dnn:LINKS.../> gives me in practice (after skin is processed by the server ) :

----
<span id="dnn_dnnLINKS_lblLinks">
<a class="SkinObject" href="..">Link q</a>
<span class="SkinObject"></li><li></span>
<a class="SkinObject" href=...">Link 2</a></span>

-----
Though I want it to be simply like :
<li> <a ...> link 1 </a></li>
<li> <a ...> link 1 </a></li>

is there any way to get such result (to get rid of  span tags somehow  ) by setting properties or should I manipulate the core? and If I should where is the class related to dnn:LINKS ?

thank you :)

you may replace links skin object with your own version, I am not aware of an existing plain version atm.

If I'm reading this right, you're using the [LINKS] SkinObject to generate your main dynamic menu, when you should really be using the [NAV] SkinObject. This can be set to render as a UL of links, take a look at Timo's example here: http://dnnskinextensions.codeplex.com... the [LINKS] SkinObject is used to generate the set of links at the bottom (or anywhere you like really) of the page that mimic the main navigation.

Hope this helps,

Rick.
