I have the setup as shown below that was created by a real web developer. He is now longer around and now I ( only basic html knowledge) need to modify the setup pictured below to add and modify the category within this dropdown list and cannot figure out how. I see no settings for this anywhere. editing the xml script causes me to lose functionality of the entries I edit. What am I missing?

It looks like that module is using the Form and List module, moving this thread to that forum.

Click on the "Form and List Configuration" menu item in the action menu for the module. On that page, you'll see an "Edit Pencil" next to the name of the dropdown list. Click that icon to edit the contents of the dropdown list.

There is no edit pencil next to the drop down list, as you can see in the screenshot. I have hovered everywhere around this. Tried in firefox/chrome/ie.

AH I see you mentioned form and list configuration in the actuion menu first. That is also no help because that doesnt allow me to actually edit the drop down list. It only allows me to edit the form once i select something from the dropdown list.

click the edit pencil next to "Type" (I expect, that is the classification) and you should find the values in a Text box amongst the column details.
