Hi Folks,

In the past I have set up sites using one of a couple of test sites on my PowerDNN server. Then I switched to a customers URL once they signed off on the new site. There are a few nuances to deal with but it went pretty well. However, I never have done that when the site had child portals. I just wondered if anyone has gone through the process when child portals are involved and if there are any “traps”.

Hope this is the right forum for this question. Thanks for any advice,

G. M.

I typically use Engage: F3, a free search/replace module, that will search all HTML modules and replace strings. That comes in helpful for test to production server URL changes.

As for child portals, I believe F3 can search across all portals (if logged in as host) so that could work there as well.

Thanks very much Chris. That sounds like a good approach.
