@tp1687: Did you find any solution for this? I've hit the same problem.

Any pointers would be appreciated, have I missed anything/any-configuration/ page-permission/setting/etc..?

Vinay, are you using the same DNN version as tp1687? We had a problem with Browser Language Detection with our client from Canada with DNN 5.x release and as far as i remember the issue was same as yours. I would suggest a DNN upgrade after taking a backup of physical files and database.

Thanks for your sugestion. Yes, my version is the same as tp1687. I think you are right, an upgrade to latest DNN (6.1.2 currently) would fix it. But since we didnt want to upgrade right now (as it would require quite a few of our customisations/settings/testing before we can release), this is how I fixed it:

According to this post (http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/V...), this is a reported as a bug in the DNN framework (for DNN 5.6.1). The code is in \Library\Entities\Portal\PortalController.vb inside the method GetActivePortalLanguage.

As far as the latest versions - I see that this bug is only fixed in 06.01.02 (not any other version untill 05.06.06). So I've replaced just this method from 6.1.2 into ours --> recompiled DNN framework source code --> replaced the DLL (DotNetNuke.dll), and it's now fixed.
