I am trying to create a set of pages with consistent left pane. Currently I am using a template to create a new page. But I realised if i were to change the content of the left side menu in any one page, the changes would not be reflected in the other pages.

I want to create a set of pages wherein if I change the content in the leftpanes, it should change in all the other pages as well.

Newbie,

You can achieve this by adding a module to the LeftPane of your skin, and on the other pages, instead of adding a new module, use the "Add Existing Module" option from the Control Panel, this will create a new instance of the original module in the new location and will reflect any changes you make to it on all other instances. There is an option to include module on all pages, within the module Settings, but this will add it to ALL existing pages, which you may not want.

Hope this helps,

Rick.
