This has never happened to me before.  One of my writers (Edit privilege for a page) used an Import function to import a page (thinking he was importing a separate CSS file).  He just selected Default as the Template, and clicked Import.  As a result, he added a page called 'Default'.  So, then, whenever someone went to the site, they got an empty page (a virtual Default.aspx).  To counteract this, I deleted the page named 'Default' since there is not typically a page with that name in the Tabs table.  After doing this, any visits to the site resulted in a timeout or a 'Page not found' error.

To fix this quickly (because we have over 100 online users at a time), I copied the real Default.aspx to Default2.aspx and added that file to IIS at the top of the Web Directory file list.

Question - how can I get back to the original state, using the original Default.aspx?

Thanks for any insight,
Paul

are you able to access /admin/pages.aspx and rename it? otherwise you need to modify the name in tabs table of the database (you'll need to restart application for getting it effective).
