Something is causing my server to run at 100% processor.  I keep getting errors the first and last tabid numbers change on the errors the 72s never do.

I looked at the page and there were some problems with links that I fixed, but the errors still keep coming every few seconds.  I tried restarting every service and the server and disabling the searchengine and file sync schedules.

When I restart the server the first exception is this followed by thousands of the exception above. Note: I am not running sharepoint on the server.

Any ideas of what is wrong or how to fix it or where else I can start looking?

judging from the 2nd entry, I'd say you're getting "sharepointed" , see here and here . Basically it's crawler is maxing out your site.

Thanks Cathal.  I had ruled out sharepoint earlier, I checked our servers and verified they were not indexing this site.  I didn't think about external SPS sites, that does appear to be the problem.

For anyone else that runs into this.  I mistakenly thought it was the search engine, because with the processor maxed, the search engine was taking days to complete if it completed at all.
