I have purchased several new skins and uploaded them via host/extensions/extensions wizard.  with out any errors.
when I attempt to apply these skins to one site I will get the following error.  can anyone shed light on this?
Could Not Load Skin: /Portals/_default/Skins/MCM001_BlueRed/DV Framed.ascx, Error: Could not load file or assembly 'McMenuControl' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Yes, Matthew.  Apparently, this skin makes use of a "skin object" called McMenuControl.  By the name it looks like it should have been provided by the vendor.  You should check to see if it was sent as a separate installable file... it will need to be installed before the skin is.  If you don't have it, I am sure it was just an oversight.

It is possible to actually include those objects in one installation package, but many people do not realize this.

Cheers,
Scott
