I need to get DNN to check a database for resources before using its own .resx files. Do I have to modify the core DNN code is there a cleverer way?

if you want to use your database for the whole DNN installation, you would need to modify the core.

I have made a one line modification to Localization.vb that checks my database (not DNN's) for the resourceKey and returns if found. Otherwise it continues and uses the DNN resource system as normal. It would be good to get a hook or event in here somewhere so this could be done without a core mod. Even better would be the ability to simple override the method in a subclass that could be used as a replacement in the DI system.
