A workaround to achieve anonymous posting is to use AutoLogin module.
It's automatically log in anonymous user, credentials of this default user can be set in Settings tab.

Active Forums is not scheduled to be part of any DotNetNuke release. The next forum release will be sometime after DotNetNuke 6.0. The original intent has been to have a forum release between DotNetNuke 6.0 and 6.1. Just to clarify, DotNetNuke 6.1 is scheduled for Q4.

The free version of Active Forums is available on the DotNetNuke Facebook fan page. Become a fan and you can download the free version.
