Hi, I am new to DNN, so I have run into a problem already.  I would appreciate some direction... Thanks

I added a 'Form and List' module, created some columns for 'KMsUsed' type Integer, and a calculated column 'KMsClaim'
The calculated field is:  [KMsUsed] * .40
When I add the record and add the value 100 to 'KMsUsed' the calculated field shows 40.
This is fine, but when I hit the 'Edit pencil' I get an error:
'Cannot perform '*' operation on System.String and System.Double

Do I need to convert the fields even in the calculation statement so I don't get an error?
If you could indicate the correct syntax that I should use in the Calculated field so I don't get the error, that would be great!!  Or can I hide the calculated fields during the edit phase?  Changing the Value of 'KMsUsed' generates the correct value when you save...

Second characteristic to this issue;
If I try to 'Cancel' it won't...
If I try to 'Update' (no changes made) it will as if I hit 'Cancel'...
If I try to 'Update' (changes) it accepts them and recalculates correctly.
