I've searched and can not find what I'm looking for, which could be that I don't know what to search for.  What I'm trying to achieve is a list along the left side of the page that when you click on the link, it changes the contents of the content module.  Basically a table of contents that when you click the link in the table of contents it changes the main content pane to reflect that links data.

I've looked at the iframe and can't make heads nor tails out of this.  Is there a module that will achieve what I'm trying to do?

it depends, how the link targets are organized - if they are individual pages with same parent, a childlinks module (like latest Links version or console)may be suitable, otherwise you may have a module with list of items and item details.

Thanks Sebastian

Necessity being the mother of invention, I decided to try the FAQ module.  It's not perfect, but hey it solves the problem I was facing.  Now the users see a list and when they click on the item, it opens the "Answer" below the list.

Dean,
I suggest having a closer look at Form and List module, it might suit your need completely :))
