Hi there

Given a link within the skin like

">Contact

in the footer of the page which would link to the Contact-page. Since the site was developed on a testing-environment and then moved to the live system, these tab-ids are the same on both systems. Now I am supposed to include a new link in the footer. I would create the page directly on the live system and update the skin with a link as described above. In order to keep stuff synchronized I would recreate the same page on the test system. But then the Id won't match anymore. How am I supposed to handle such situations? The only thing I can think of is to move the Ids into the web.config. Are there other options?

Thx for any tipps

Why not just use a human readable link:

http://www.yourwebsite.com/contact.aspx

DNN will figure out the tab id for you (assuming you have friendly urls turned on).
