right, because it is not provided as a property by .Net culture class. Please use a 3rd party solution as mentioned before.

Hi,
I think you can use ItemTemplate similar to

ItemTemplate='<a href="[URL]" class="Language [SELECTED]" title="[CULTURE:NATIVENAME]"><span class="Language [CULTURE:ENGLISHNAME]"&gt;&lt;/span></a>'

which define css class name, with the same value of the language name

use the class name in css to style the span or the hyperlink and use jQuery to define the content in that span.
span.Spanish { font-weight: normal; color:#225599; }

$("span.Spanish").html("Spanish");

it worked for me.
