I was also going to ask. Can you detail what mail client you are using, and OS, etc - then  I may be able to more closely replicate your environment.

Thanks
Roger

 Hey Roger,

Thanks for getting back to me, sorry I haven't responded sooner. I will try to find out what I can do as far as granting access. I'll message you off board if I can get that okayed.

As far as the environment, I have two that I have conducted testing with:

Primary Environment:
Windows 7 Enterprise
Outlook 2007 (12.0.6550.5003)
Firefox 3.6.15
IE 8.0.7600.16385
Chrome 12.0.742.91

Secondary Environment (VM)
Windows XP SP 3
Outlook 2007 (12.0.6550.5003)
Firefox 3.6.10
IE 8.0.6001.18702

The primary environment is where I have done almost all of my development, so there have been numerous combination's of settings tested out with this result, while the secondary environment has really only been tested with a very few combinations, but with the same result.

If it would help at all, I can also provide you with screen shots of the difference between the meeting request and the appointment request.

Thanks again,

Billy

OK, I think this is a feature of your mail client, nothing to do with the module. If Outlook 2007 recognises the email address from Exchange GAL or I think your contact list it will set the calendar item up accordingly. Presumably if the email address is yours, it assumes that it is your meeting and creates the 'Send Update' dialogue. If it is somebody else, I think it will set it upto respond to a meeting invite (not tried that because I don't want to be sending emails off round my corporation!!) so will have 'Accept', 'Tentative' and 'Decline' options.

Hope this helps. Still want to understand the blank email issue though...

Roger

Oh, and by the way I think it will give the option to save whn you close it, or just click the save icon in the quick bar at top of Outlook 2007.

Hi Roger,

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I have been a little sidetracked today.

I will talk to a co-worker to see if she will set up a test event to see if I get different results when I am not the owner of the event. I will get back to you tomorrow morning when I get back to work and report the results. Also will provide you the additional information that you requested.

Thank you very much for all of your assistance. I truly appreciate it.

Have a good evening.
