A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

At the risk of sounding inappreciative of all the hard work that has gone in DNN and any add on modules... does anyone actually run their third party modules through any kind of testing before putting them on the market???

With both the Inventua Passthrough modules AND the PA Real Estate modules I get the above error when trying to use the dang search bar.  With DNN 4.0.3 plain jane install, all works fine. I have installed both (or either) of these modules and they blow up the search bar, every time.  I'm almost at the point of determining that we can use DNN as long as we don't add anything to it... and doesn't that run contrary to the point?

Can someone PLEASE tell me what is causing this to occur?

I love the whole open source concept but when third party modules come out that are supposed to extend the functionality of the product (at a premium) they MUST be thoroughly tested before they are released.  If the darn "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" is such a common error (as I have come to find it is)... why exactly?

If I'm out of line here... please correct me.  This is really frustrating...

Andrew,

I responded to your [Inventua forums] forum post, and emailed you, but have not got a response.  Did you receive the email?
