In IIS if you look at your site's Basic Settings it'll tell you what application pool it's running under. Then at the top (or close to it) on the left hand side in IIS it should say Application Pools. Select that and look for the application pool your site is running on. In that line it should say what managed pipeline the site is running under. Also what version of the .NET framework it's running under.

I am now getting an error on the Authentication line within the web.config. Does this need to be commented out?

I un-commented those lines in the web config and tried again. It did work. Is the windows sign in page the only way to auto login. I was hoping to get this done on the homepage.
