I have two sites A and B.A is on live.B site is a child portal of A. A has portalID 0 and B has PortalId 2. B site's Blog module has a huge problem and is need to be reinstalled.Problem is it will affect the blog module of site A also.ie.All the tables of Blog module from the database will be dropped.and i will lose the data.EVEN IF I TAKE THE BACKUP OF THE DATABASE THEN THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF A site's blog module will work properly.

Is there any way so that I can reinstall the blog module of only and only  Site B,so that the data of blogs of site B will be get deleted from the database and A will not get affected at all?

I really don't know. Its giving NullReference exception in View_Blog.ascx file. But the same code and same file is running on the stage server.

Reinstalling the blog module (unless it is a later version which happens to include code to gracefully handle/avoid a null-reference exception) will most likely NOT correct the problem. My guess is that there is a data integrity issue (perhaps a user account for a blogger who was manually deleted from the Users table but whose prior blog entries still remain in the child portal's blog?) with the database entries for the child portal's blog.

Please provide the following information:

1. DotNetNuke framework version?
2. Blog module version?

Also, please check (preferably when logged in as host user) please check the Admin-->Event Viewer on the child portal site for more information or errors related to the blog module's null-reference error and post the complete error (including stack trace) in this thread for further study.
