I'm running into a 50 character limit on the Page Name field and I really need it larger than that. I am working on a University site and some of the degree titles are a little longer. Does anyone know where I can enlarge that limit or if it will hurt anything if I do?

There is a difference between page name and page title. The page title can be longer.

The Page name is going to be used in the menus and URLs.

Having long names in menus will be difficult to manage from usability and the skin.

You might want to look an alternative method ro module to achieve your requirement.

hope this helps
