Hi everybody,

I am trying to implement this Forms and List module 05.01.03 to DNN 05.06.02 for REGISTERED USERS but I'm really confused on permission settings.

Do I really need to set the EDIT MODULE permission to REGISTERED USERS? When I do this, the ADD NEW RECORD link button appears but also, the configuration and module settings appears which allows the REGISTERED USERS to modify the record in which they shouldn't have to.

How can I allow REGISTERED USERS to have access the ADD NEW RECORD link button without giving them EDIT MODULE PERMISSION. Thanks in advance.

You should set edit module permissions only for admin or your internal editors and NEVER to registered users. To add new records enable the permission "Create Record/ Submit Form".

Thanks for the fast reply Stefan!

Now I know why I am having problems. Every time I add the Forms and List module in the page, the VISIBILITY is set to SAME AS PAGE. Now I understand the difference of SAME AS PAGE and PAGE EDITORS ONLY visibility settings (maybe) when adding modules in the page. I found this solution from the keyword you said "Internal Editors".

Correct me if I'm wrong... Is that the reason why I'm having problems also with the Blog Module? Because they have the same error, that I should enable the Edit Module permission before any registered user can create their blogs. Does this procedure apply to all modules from the module releases in the Project Download page of DNN?

Sorry to disappoint you, but I was not referring to page editors. We implemented a group of "power users" which act as editors, but are not also Administrators.

Sorry, I am not really familiar with the blogs module.
