I've tried running the installation a couple times now and both times it's hung during the "Installing Database Scripts ..." section. After waiting over 5 minutes both time, nothing appears in the text box. I've tried using the SQLExpress file option as well as creating a database through SQL Server.

I was able to get the DB Installation scripts running by hitting F5 (page refresh) on the page.

I haven't heard of that problem before. There is a new and more detailed error log in 6.0. If you reproduce this again, check the Logs/CurrentLog.txt and post any errors recorded there.

BTW, the log file will move to a different and secure location for the final release, likely under Portals/_default/Logs .

Same problem for me and it works if I hit F5 at the db script step!

The file under Logs\CurrentLogs.txt is empty!



We have already encountered the same problem with a previous version. I can't remember which one, may be than my friend Sebastian "BIG memory" Leupold could tell you about that.
