Hi,







I tried to install the last build today and I can't install the New Install package! The install wizard start and all steps are validated but is frozen at the last step when the db scripts should be executed. I tried with an AppPool using .Net 2 in classic mode AND with .Net 4 using integrated pipeline, both fails at the same step.







To validate my computer, I tried to install DNN 5.6.2 with the same params and everything works perfectly! Moreover, I have been able to install the previous DNN 6.0.0 beta without any problem!?

Hi Gilles,

You are the second person to report this problem with the 6.0.0 beta. No one on the engineering or QA teams has experienced this problem before, so it is a mystery for now.

There is a new and more detailed error log in 6.0. If you reproduce this again, check the Logs/CurrentLog.txt and post any errors recorded there.

BTW, the log file will move to a different and secure location for the final release, likely under Portals/_default/Logs .

This is happing for me when using i.e. 9. To get past it set the browser in compatibility mode.

As Scott has mentioned, we test all the major browsers, against all three DNN editions, both for installs and upgrades. We definitely appreciate your comments and feedback and no DNN employee takes any comment as anything more than genuine feedback to improve the product.

Beta 1 feedback is already shaping the final release.

Thanks for all your efforts guys. We know you are taking the time out of your day to help us make this a success.
