We have all our client sites up to date on version 5.6.1 and everything seems to be be running well. There are some extensions we've come across recently that we would like to use, but the vendor indicates the preferred version is 5.6.2. We really haven't planned to go to 5.6.2 nor the first release of 6.0. My question has to do with security in 5.6.2. I've read in these forums and other sites including codeplex, that there are security isses in 5.6.2, that some of the fixes in 5.6.1 didn't make it that you may be at risk security wise in 5.6.2. Is there any truth to this? is anyone staying away from 5.6.2 for these reasons.

Your comments would be welcome.

Cheers,
Larry

I understand there is to be a 5.6.3 release soon to fix the security issues.

Thanks Ismet. That was one of the issues I had seen. Does everyone concur there is going to be a 5.6.3 release?

Just curious as to how many sites actually moved to or better yet decided not to move to 5.6.2 because of the security issues. I suspect most sites aren't going to change versions once they are up unless there is a particular fix or some functionality (including extensions) that they are provided in a later release.

Cheers,
Larry
