Just ran through a test on DNN6 on my home PC which is quite old...Still using windows XP and IIS5 with SQL Server 2008 express.

Just posted what happened here so there is a log of it....

Install was OK.

When logging in the popup login appears but no fields inside..close and re-click the popup appears with fields (sometimes have to do this 2-3 times)

NB_Store module didn't install correctly (All modules in package loaded apart from MangerMenu module)....I know this could be an issue with the manifest file, but it installs OK on DNN5.

Also felt it seemed a little slow compared to DNN5??

Couple of days later tried to re-start the DNN6 instance....forgot to tuen on DB at first, did this and then got a time out error about application pool not being OK (Sorry didn;t copy the message)...google chrome had a redirect error.

Loaded the symbol files for DNN to see about getting a better message...this refreshed the app pool and it loaded OK then.  Problem with login popup field still existed.

Regards,
Dave.

Hi David,

With the Login Pop up, there is an issue with first time load. Sometimes you have to wait a little while to have all the fields render. We are looking at it. That said, do the field never come up, even if you leave the Pop up for a little while? That definitely would be a different issue.

Thanks,

Jogi

Hi Jogi,

As I recall I never saw the fields....but I can't say how long I waited before closing and reclicking the login.  But I definatly had to do it 3 times in one case, other times it did seem to appear on the second reload.

I'll try and get the time tonight to retry and see what happens, I'll let you know.

Dave.

Hi Jogi,

Just re-tested and the login seems to be OK...just a short delay before the fields appear....it was definatly more of a delay the first time I loaded or I wouldn't have mentioned the issue.

With NB_Store, I've tried to re-install/repair and no waiting icon appeared so I clicked the next button a couple of times to make sure :-).....but I think it was already processing, I just couldn;t tell.

After this I got an error on the repair...

Starting Installation - Assembly
Failure Exception - The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_PackageAssemblies_PackageAssemblies". The conflict occurred in database "DNN6", table "dbo.Packages", column 'PackageID'. The statement has been terminated.
Failure Installation Failed - Assembly

......NB_Store modules still not working. Like I said before , this works perfectly OK with DNN5, so there seems to be a backward compatibility problem somewhere.

Regards,
Dave.
