Bill,

One thing I didn't mention. Here is my version of VS2008 - Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Version 9.0.30729.1 SP

Hi Bill,

I went through the DNN source setup steps again and followed all the latest instructions including your Wiki carefully. I decided to use the latest source DNN 5.6.3. However, I still have one issue that perplexes me. When I open the solution for the first time on DotNetNuke.Library.VS2008 I get errors like this:

Error    4          'CountryLookup' is not a member of 'WebControls'.     C:\Visual Studio Projects 2\DNNSRC563\Library\Entities\Modules\UserModuleBase.vb 406      51        DotNetNuke.Library.VS2008

Error    14        Name 'Channel' is not declared.            C:\Visual Studio Projects 2\DNNSRC563\Library\Services\Syndication\RssHandler.vb   23        13        DotNetNuke.Library.VS2008

I can build the solution and the errors go away. I can build projects separately including DotNetNuke.Library.VS2008 and the errors go away. When I close the solution and open it again the errors come back. Am I possibly doing something to break dependencies or references?

I don’t use the source version very often but it sometimes comes in handy for debugging modules and also to learn more about the core code. I vaguely remember having an issue somewhat like this back with version 3 but after a full build the errors didn’t return. I obviously do not understanding something here.
