tried to adapt the design of the standard forum module so that it fits the site skin (changed only css and pictures in the Resources.zip) and changed the name+friendly name. managed to install it after deinstalling the original forum
the problem now is, that the newly installed forum now looks exactly like the old one. is there any trick for installing? maybe something similar to deleting the ascx and getting them generated for the normal site skins?

found out finally, now i"ll share with whoever has the same problem:
1.install (best in a local dotnetnuke installation to shorten ftp transfer for step 2)
2.open the link to the folder it is installed to and change the style there
3.create a package for the forum
4.install it where you want and enjoy ;D
