Since I upgraded a DNN 5.6.1 to 5.6.3 I have an issue with some 1st level pages that are no longer accessible. Those pages issue a 301 status and then redirect to the homepage.

Once I turn off friendly urls I have no problems.

I can see no difference for those pages compared to other pages in that portal. Also the problem does not apply to all 1st level pages, only some.

For instance this one is working: http://www.morgan-club.de/Community/Forum.aspx while this one is not: http://www.morgan-club.de/MorganClub/Historie.aspx

The only place in the Core that is actually issueing 301 status codes is the request filter module. But I can confirm that this module is not issueing the status.

Ok, this had nothing to do with DNN I guess but rather with my browser / caching setup. This is now fixed.

I am getting this same error. It is reproducable on different computers so I am unsure how it can be a browser caching issue.

When I rolled the site back to 05.06.01 (238) the problem went away.

My issue:

Trying to upgrade from:

05.06.01 (238)
to:
05.06.03 (45)

Friendly URL did not work until I removed a bunch of "bogus" portal aliases

But after that random pages would cause:

HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently

(and redirect user to home page)

Important note: This would not happen if logged in as Host. When logged in as Host, the Host can go to pages that any other user (including Admin) will receive a "HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently" (I used F12 developer tolls in IE to monitor the network traffic and see the redirect).

Ok this is solved
1) Removed all bogus Portal Aliases
2) Changed "PortalAlias Mapping Mode" to None (it was "Redirect")

FYI:
"PortalAlias Mapping Mode":

This setting determines how the site responds to urls which are defined as alias, but are not the default-alias. None - no additional action is taken, Canonical - the alias url is handled as a Canaonical url, Redirect - redirected to default alias.
