after that when i try to build the solution it says that it need integrated windows authintication to be enabled and i go to iis and the default web site for dotnuke and i make the security of "windows authintication is enabled " and then things go fine

but after all that it build successfully and launch a page that have the following error "

DotNetNuke Configuration Error

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

DotNetNuke has extensive file upload capabilities for content, modules, and skins. These features require custom security settings so that the application is able to create and remove files in your website.

Using Windows Explorer, browse to the root folder of the website ( C:\DotNetNuke by default ). Right-click the folder and select Sharing and Security from the popup menu ( please note that if you are using Windows XP you may need to Enable Simple File Sharing before these options are displayed ). Select the Security tab. Add the appropriate User Account and set the Permissions.

If using Windows 2000 - IIS5
- the {Server}\ASPNET User Account must have Read, Write, and Change Control of the virtual root of your website

If using Windows 2003 - IIS6
- the NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE User Account must have Read, Write, and Change Control of the virtual root of your website

" but i cant find solution please reply me

The error describes itself. You need to give the ASP.NET worker process read/write access to the DNN directory.

Hi all,
I think that you should grant the ASP.NET account the right to read/write to whole of the virtual directory. If you are running under Server 2003, the account may be different from what is in XP. Please look deeply in the documentation that goes along with the package you downloaded for more details. The information in the error exactly tells you how to do!
Hope that you can fix the bug by yourself!
