Could anyone help walk me through the process of setting up a dnn website with the web host webhost4life ? I have successfully installed a local version of dnn and played around some by watching/doing a couple of tutorials.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. - Will

They have an automatic installation script for DNN on Webhost4life.  If you go into your control panel there is a section called scripts i believe.  In there there is a section for installing applications.  You go into that and under CMS in Dotnetnuke. When I was on there the install script didnt really work properly. It installed DNN, but it was a messed up version that never worked right, never upgraded properly, etc. That didnt resolve until I finally installed DNN manually.  Even then the site was dog slow on Webhost4life.  Then the worst is one day your site is down, you put in a support ticket and it stays down for a day or two with no response.

I would seriously consider moving to a different webhost as webhost4life is terrible when it comes to DNN.  Their sites are slow and their support related to DNN is lousy.

Maybe bite the bullet and pay the extra money with PowerDNN until you really know DNN.  They are more money but worthevery penny.  Its not a huge difference... maybe $100 per year.  Believe me that $100 is worth the aggrevation you will save if there is even 1 issue.  Also PowerDNN sites are really fast, and their techs all live and breathe dotnetnuke.

Hate to be really blunt - but moving AWAY from webhost4life would be the best move you can make.
www.powerdnn.com or www.dnn4less.com or pretty much any other MS IIS hosting provider except maybe GoDaddy - would be a huge improvement over webhost4life.

I would also suggest change webhost for the bad experience we had before. Their new platform is not so good as the old one.
