I am wondering if anyone knows of a good, simple tutorial on how to do friendly urls.

For example, one url that I want to change is as follows:
http://www.denversolarandwind.com/NewYork/tabid/101/Default.aspx

I would love to get it so that people could type the following and get to the same page:
http://www.denversolarandwind.com/newyork

I don't know if this is possible or if it is a long task but would love it if someone could help me out. Thanks!

you can do some of this by switching to friendly types - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W... , however by default the friendly url provider will not drop the .aspx - other providers such as ulrmaster support this, though you will also have to make changes in IIS

Webpages with SEO friendly urls rank higher. The best way is to get your keyword within the urls.

Hi i tell about how to Create friendly URLs in IIS 7.5?Like everything that Microsoft had created, the IIS 7.5 is pretty easy to use and have a lot of features. To create SEO friendly URLs, I recommend using the URL REWRITE module.Once you have it installed, you can easily implement all kind of rewrite and redirects rules with just a couple of clicks. Furthermore, there are already built in SEO features you can use for that purpose. With them you can apply canonical rules all over your domain and also enfore lowercase URLs.To remove the default.aspx from your root directory, you can try the following rule:

Hope this Helps
