When adding a new record I get an error saying:

What does this mean and how can I fix it?

the database has reached its maximum size - most likely caused by the transaction log, which doesn't get truncated on frequent backups. Switch database to simple recovery mode, shink files and check for largest tables using default reports in SQL Server Management Studio.

I figured it out.  the dbo.SearchItemWordPosition table was huge so I followed your advice in this post.  But I looked at it again and it's growing fast.
