Granted, this is an EXTREMELY noob question, but here we go.  Last night I upgraded from 5.6.3 to 6.0 (WOW, what a difference) and before realizing that the upgrade didn't go right (and redoing it), I removed the Banner Module from the Host Control Panel.  I realize now that this is a default module (so I'm not really sure why I was able to remove it), but I need it back.

The Recycle Bin doesn't seem to be working, so what I can I do to get the Banner Module back?  I need the ads back! :)

The banners module is a core part of the ADMIN system and as such does not have its own installer by default.
As it is installed as part of the core.

The fastest way I know to get core modules back is by manually creating a new install package on a default install.
Basically - create a a clean dnn install on your system - browse to the Host -> Extensions page and click on the Edit this Extension button for the module you have deleted on your other system.

Down the bottom of the page you will find an option to Create Package - select this option and follow the steps - clicking thru all the pages till the Install package is built - if you accepted all the steps you will find a copy of the module install in the sites /Install/Modules/ folder under the name DotNetNuke_DotNetNuke.Banners_01.00.00_Install.zip .

Upload and run this install package on your old site and the banners module should be back working good as new.

Westa, thanks for the great advice.  I did that very thing, and it's back. I'm getting some weird new errors, but at least the banners are back!
