The Drag and Drop feature with the containers is a great feature, but can it be extended to any control?  Without using Atlas?  I can send a textbox control into the enableDragandDrop method and have it draggable in DNN.  But how do I define the controls it can be dragged into?  Would I need to change the dnncore.js?

My goal is to be able to drag controls from one module to another.  But first I must be able to drag a control to another location within the same module.  Is this even possible with DNN 3.x?

The drag-n-drop capability included in dotnetnuke is specific to containers.  All the framework is there to create your own solution, but this will require you to write some javascript.  I have outlined all the code that is used for the container functionality in the DotNetNuke Client API DragDrop.doc found in the DNN documentation.  Time constraints have not allowed me to abstract this functionality out into a more generic solution like you are looking for.

Very good documentation, thanks Jon.   Is there talk of extending this functionality in a future release of DNN?

This is one of the many things I have on my to-do list.  However, it is prioritized rather low at the moment.
