I have an issue maybe somebody else has come across.
South African website on DNN5.6.2 with two languages Us-English and SA-English enabled. US English is the default. Content Localization is enabled so the default site language can't be changed. I have a module that display's currency and dates based on the current locale settings, which is defaulting to US as the default host & site settings. Is there anyway to mark the module as always to have the local settings for a language seen as the site locale can't be changed now?

no, you'll have to handle the fixed settings in your code i.e. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/9xk1h71t.aspx

usually, if your module uses general formats, switching thread UI culture by using the language selector should switch formats of currencies, numbers and dates as well.

Hi Sebastian

Yes, but the problem is that the language selector for the site is disabled if Content. Localisation is disabled in the host settings, giving rise to a seperate page per language. If the default is not the correct culture you then have an issue. However I took Cathal's advice which seems to have sorted out the issue and that is to simply add a line to the page load event

Page.Culture = "ll-XX" - ie, some culture that I then read from the module settings having provided an override setting for it. Works fine in test and allows the module to have a culture distinct from the site or page settings.

That should of course read "if content.localization is enabled"
