Hello everyone! Here's my scenario, I made a website using DNN5 then since the upgrade to DNN6 did not work for me I uninstalled DNN5 and installed a new copy of DNN6, but this gave me another problem. I copied the PORTAL folder from my DNN5 and then pasted it on DNN6 PORTAL folder but when I tried to run the site it is giving me an error.

Here's the error:

DotNetNukeError

Can someone give me the right way of transferring websites?

Thanks a lot!

you cannot mix installations, database and DNN install folders needs to be kept in sync, otherwise you may encounter numerous issues.

Thanks! Sir, What would be then my other option or workaround so that I can continue to develop my site from DNN5?

About your only place to start right now would be going back to your backups of the original dnn5 site and working thru the issues that may have caused issues with the upgrade to 600.

There are a number of 3rd party modules that it has been discovered potentially cause problems during the upgrade process.
