Hi Pingle, I solved the issue already! I downloaded 5.6.3 upgrade package and overwriter version 06.00.00. The site is function as it was before with no errors, I am doing backup for now and when is done I will try again to upgrade as you suggest.

A shot in the dark first...

I have been having all sorts of errors and odd occurrences that I believe (limited very recent info...) to be occurring ONLY when I log in as admin (or host) via a portal alias rather than directly via UglyDomain.net/DNNDir [or UglyDomain.net/DNNDir/PortalName].

This may be hard to follow but assume UglyDomain.net is my primary domain and DNNDir is the sub-directory of it where DNN is installed.  I have PrettyDomain.com as my preferred entry point (alias) pointing to UglyDomain.net/DNNDir  [and sometimes as an alias for portal n named PortalName]

If I log in as admin or host to PrettyDomain.com rather than UglyDomain.net/DNNDir  [+ /PortalName if appropriate], I sometimes get all screwed up...  I know not why, and for now just don't do that...

please make sure, there is only a single IIS web site pointing to your DNN application, if necessary, remove all unnecessary portal aliases.
