I've recently upgraded our site from DNN 4.9.5 to 5.2.3 and upgraded CATALook 5.8.3 to 6.0.8

But I've got the following critical error on our Store Settings page - can anybody decipher what I need to do.

A critical error has occurred.
Could not load file or assembly 'RadSpell.Net2, Version=3.2.7.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b5dad7bf2bf594c2' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

The same message appears when trying to edit other modules. I know this is something to do with the RAD controls and possible skin conflict. What do I need to do?

Is it possible to upgrade our DNN version further before the error is resolved?

most likely, you are using a different Telerik version in Catalook than in DNN, make sure, latest of both is installed and you have a proper redirect statement in your web.config file

Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for this, I have now updated our site to DNN 5.6.3 and Catalook to the latest 6.3.8. But I am still seeing this error.

What do I need to look for in the web.config file? What needs changing?

Thanks for the direction Sebastian.

I have since solved this issue with a lot of help from Catalook support.

For anybody with this issue…

Essentially it was the bit of code in our web.config file that pointed to our old html editor as our default provider.

I changed this:
<dotnetnuke>
    <htmlEditor defaultProvider="RadHtmlEditorProvider">
      <providers>

to this:
<dotnetnuke>
    <htmlEditor defaultProvider="TelerikEditorProvider">
      <providers>

This was because we updated from the positively archaic DNN 4.9.5 to a shiny new technicolor DNN 5.6.3

Catalook email support is amazing.
